I’m Back - And I Have Something For You

Published by Jeremy under Advertising

First of all I would like to say sorry about the extended lack of content, but please do not worry because I am back! Awhile ago I wrote a post about advertising networks and the various pros and cons dealing with each of them. If you have not read it, I highly recommend doing so, and you will find out why very shortly. To summarize that post a little, I wrote about how to setup various campaigns to help drive traffic to your website. Essentially you pay people to visit your website. If you write ads that are highly targeted and intriguing, you will get people who are interested in your site to look at it. The cool thing is, you can use this advertising for affiliate links or websites as well. Now here comes the good part.

What Do I Have?

Well normally when you signup for Yahoo! Search Marketing (their advertising program), they offer promotions such as $25 or $50 free advertising. However, I have come across a code for $75 free advertising and I am willing to give it to you. I have read about an assortment of bloggers trying to sell these codes to their readers, but I am giving it to you for free.

There is a minimum deposit of $5, but all that means is that you spend $5 of your own to acquire $75 free advertising. I think it’s a pretty good deal, and I have taken advantage of this opportunity on a few occasions. The neat thing is, if you have multiple credit cards you can essentially sign up for more than one account, and spend $10 to get $150 free advertising for example. You understand the point, but it is a great offer and I would not pass it up.

And the link you have all been waiting for: $75 Credit via YSM

The Results

Published by Jeremy under General

Well, got the results from the tests and I am not very happy. Turns out instead of having either tonsillitis or mono, I have both. Unfortunately, I did not have a lot of time last night as I was busy with the doctors and taking a few naps to try to break this virus, so I was unable to write content again. It’s been a very difficult 3 weeks and I am just not feeling very enthusiastic or energized about much of anything. Even on weekends when I am supposed to be resting, I sleep as much as 14 hours and I am still tired. Enough of the woah is me though, I will have some useful information for you all tomorrow. Yet again, I’m very sorry, but sometimes when you are ready for a fastball you get a curveball.

I’m sure you probably did not learn much from this post, but I would still recommend subscribing to my RSS feed as useful information is about to flow like the cash we are going to make!

Learning Is Good

Published by Jeremy under Blogging

As most of you may know, I have been sick for a little bit now. At first I figured it was a cold, but it continued for over 2 weeks, so I finally decided to see a doctor. I’m pretty stubborn. Anyways, I went and found out that it was either mono or tonsillitis. I will know for sure later this afternoon. So what does all this have to do with making money online? I learned a few things and realized that what I blog about is actually useful information.

Why Learning Is Good

Being sick caused me to be very tired and not want to do much of anything but drink water and sleep. However, if I had been more prepared (I will now, been very busy lately) then I would have been able to publish useful content during the duration of my sickness. Learning is good, but being able to learn from yourself is very regenerating.

Do Not Waste Anything (Especially Time)

I would like to reiterate the importance of preparation and proper use of your time. A great example is in life. Making sure you have enough savings for emergency or when times are not as prosperous is a great way to live. That way, if something goes wrong, you are still prepared and can handle these situations. The same thing applies to blogging. If you are not backed up on information and you are unable to post for a few days or weeks, your blog will definitely take a little bit of a fall. When you have spare time, use it to your advantage and do not be afraid to timestamp your posts. The benefits of timestamping are immense, and utilizing the tools you have is not cheating.

How Many Categories Should You Have?

Published by Jeremy under Blogging

When I am not working on this blog, I have spent a very small amount of time on a new project. However, I am having a few doubts and questions about this project. Since Online Cash Flow is directed mainly towards making money online in whatever ways possible, I decided I would like to work on another blog to write about a variety of other topics that interest me. However, I have done some thinking and was wondering this: Just how many categories should you have? There are many great blogs out there that are very generalized, but there are also a lot of multi-categorized blogs that fail.

The Benefits Of Many Categories (Broad)

There are a few benefits of having a lot of categories. First and foremost, it is very easy to write all your information in one spot. As the publisher it is not difficult to write posts about whichever category you choose, as they are all right there in front of you. That way you do not have to switch back and forth between different blogs and waste time setting up and customizing each of the according blogs. I will agree with you, that even though a majority of my categories are related to making money online, sometimes my content is too generalized. It is something I need to work on, and I will because it is very difficult to succeed without making frequent changes and learning quickly from your mistakes. A couple posts here and there to break-up the monotony are always great, and I will always be a believer in those posts.

The Benefits Of Few Categories (Narrow)

The benefits of having a few categories strongly outweigh those associated with having a broad approach. There are many reasons as to why this is the case. First of all, when you have a narrow content base, your readers are at your blog to read your content. For example, if you have a general blog and you write about the following topics: Gardening, Race Cars, Technology, Health, Making Money - if somebody is interested in gardening, they are not necessarily interested in race cars. Therefore, they might not believe your knowledge and doubt your expertise, regardless of how qualified you are.

Another reason, is if you continuously write about a few related topics, you build trust and credibility for yourself and with your readers. When people are learning from you and you have written extensively about making money online, with proof of success, people will continue reading your material.

While on the topic of monetization, if you write strictly about making money online, and blogging, private advertisers are much more likely to look to advertise at your blog than somebody who writes about gardening and race cars as well.

Overall

For the beginning bloggers, it may be much easier to write about a variety of topics and it will be easier to track statistics, earnings, etc. However, I would suggest only doing so until you find out what you really want to write about. Once you do that, narrow in on your topic and become an expert. Writing about 2-3 topics is much easier than 20, and you will notice that your content will become easier to produce.

This Would Ruin Your Day

Published by Jeremy under Miscellaneous

Late for work so you decide to hop into the Gallardo today to make it there a little quicker. However, you run into a little problem. Talk about a great way to spoil your day. Supposedly a lot of Lamborghini’s catch on fire, which is very ironic. These cars are well over $100,000, but with the amount of HP, and the sleek look, you are sure to raise a few eyebrows. Going 0-60 in under 4 seconds is pretty attractive too. Anyways, check it out.

The Importance of Images

Published by Jeremy under Blogging

One of the more important things I have learned when blogging is how to make your posts interesting. There are many ways to do this, and mixing up your writing style now and then is a great one. Along with that, it is nice to write about various topics too. However, one way that will definitely keep readers satisfied is the implementation of imagery. Whether you highlight an important point, break up the plain text of regular posts, or add color to your post, all are great reasons to include images.

Use To Accentuate Your Main Point

If you are writing your post about making money online, it would be a good idea to include an image of something that relates to money. Whether it’s a stack of money, a bag of money, or a picture of a money sign, all are great ways to tell your reader about your point. I’ll give you one guess as to what I searched for to get the image on the left… Accentuate. I figured it might be appropriate since that is one of the main points here. When you include multiple ways for your readers to learn your message, it becomes much easier for them to relate to what you are saying. Granted the previous example is pretty easy, but if somebody was unsure about a different topic, say blending advertisements, a few images would definitely do the trick.

Reduce Monotony Within Your Posts

If you have written numerous posts without images, it becomes very monotonous to you and your readers. Some people do not like images, which is why when you do add them, you do not make them an eyesore. As you can see, the images I have added here are very small and do not take away from my content. One thing you want to avoid when blogging is boring your readers. You want to keep your audience interested in your content and you want them to want to come back to read your information.

Just Add A Little Color

Sometimes your posts may become very bland, and even adding pointless images can help your cause. Granted these images should remain somewhat on topic, but that is up to you. I shrunk the image at left down, but you can click on it to view the full picture. It’s a pretty neat picture, and as you will notice, it is related to Online Cash Flow. It is not that difficult to include a few interesting images to your blog post, and it is not very time consuming at all. There are millions of images out there that do not have copyrights on them. Take advantage of that and use some of them for yourself.

A Wrap Up

There you have it. An easy way to spruce up your posts and liven up your blog. On a few occassions, I have even come up with post ideas while searching for images. The benefits outweigh the costs bigtime. Take advantage of this idea and make your blog come to life. If you enjoyed this post, I recommend subscribing to my RSS feed.

Inspirational Quotes, Version 2

Published by Jeremy under Quotes

It’s been over a month since we’ve had a quotes post, and I figure this is a great time to do it being the middle of summer and many people want to relax instead of work. I would like to start by using a quote that was in the last edition, and I think it is a perfect time for it. Many people have great ideas, but for some reason they do not follow through with them. Whether they are too busy, too lazy, or not motivated, many great ideas go unused. A great quote to summarize this would be:

Ideas won’t work unless you do.

I am also guilty of this as I’m sure some of my readers are too. Whether you are too busy to start a new project, don’t feel like working, or forget what you wanted to accomplish by the time you start, you must put your ideas into action for there to be any chance for success.

Another quote that ties in pretty nicely with hard work, is one about preparation.

Failing to prepare
We prepare to fail.

I really like this quote for a couple reasons. First of all it makes you think a little because of the wording. When you think multiple times about something it should have more meaning to you. Also, it pertains to what I was saying earlier. If you are not prepared to do something, you are setting yourself up for failure. Make sure you come prepared. Another quote and a little bit of alliteration:

Proper preparation prevents poor performance.

And to finish off this edition of Inspirational Quotes, since we are on the topic of working, I figured this quote fits very well:

A turtle makes progress
when it sticks its neck out.

Do not be afraid to make choices and put your ideas into action. Work hard and do not waste your time. There is no way to replace your time, so use it wisely.

Maximum Exposure - Batch .5

Published by Jeremy under Make Money, Traffic

After some thinking by myself, and a little comment from a reader, I have decided I should implement a system where if you are so kind to link to Online Cash Flow, I will offer a linkback to your site as well. Some websites have very bland rules which makes these things very monotonous. I have decided to make it a little different, but still the same concept. Hopefully by doing so it will be a little more fun and interesting for everybody, instead of the same old text link for text link swap.

What Are You Talking About?

The “rules” are very simple. All I’m asking for you to do is the following:

Include a link to Online Cash Flow in an existing post of yours.
You can use any anchor text that you see fit (please make it related to making money online).

That’s all you have to do. Here is a little example for you:

Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. Making money is easy. Blah Blah Blah Blah.

Very little to ask and you will get a direct link in a post on Online Cash Flow.

A Few Different Rules

However, if you are interested in doing a full post directly related to Online Cash Flow, and the sole reason for your post is to review OCF, I will help you out as well. If you decide to write in more depth than the sentence or two, I will make your link bold and on top of the list in the batch.

Steve’s Money Makers
Bill’s Money Makers

Joe’s Money Makers
Tim’s Money Makers
Bob’s Money Makers

I would be willing to bet that Steve and Bill would get the most clicks. You do not have to do a full review post to get a linkback. All I’m asking is for a link to Online Cash Flow. If you want to go above and beyond, you will earn yourself a bold link. I hope this idea will be successful, so we’ll see in the near future if we get enough reviews. If you enjoy this idea or not I suggest you join my RSS feed!
