A Moving Process

Published by Jeremy under Blogging

Now that I’m all moved in and ready to resume life, I can start blogging again. Sorry about the lack of posts in the previous weeks, but I’m here to stay now. Coming back, I have a few things to say. First of all, I have a lot of information to post in the near future about money making ideas for you, whether they pertain to blogging or not. Secondly, within this post I will provide you with some interesting information on how you can win a few free things! The things you can win are pretty neat, and include a 24″ monitor, a Nintendo Wii, and a Playstation 3. I think it’s worth a shot.

Monitor

CASH for COMMENTS is holding a sneaky bastard blogging contest to get paid a free 24″ wide screen LCD monitor. The contest is being sponsored by Elite Baseball Instruction dot Com which gives baseball training videos in hitting, pitching, infield defense, and outfield playing. He is also giving away a Free 4-Hour Workweek Book to enter early and the winner will be updated on the same blog post to drive traffic to their own site. Click here for more details the 24 inch LCD giveaway. Very similar to a contest I have seen on another blogger’s site, but obviously the idea works. Good luck everyone.

Nintendo Wii

Darin has a few things going on for him. Since reading Darin.CC (a blog about Search Marketing) I have learned how to successfully start a Pay Per Click Campaign and Escape Google Supplemental Results! He is offering to link to your blog if you post about his blog and you could win a Free Nintendo Wii in the process! I’m very interested in the Nintendo Wii, so I figured this contest was a no brainer. Good luck to everybody who submits to this contest!

Another great idea from Darin is his PS3 giveaway. He posts tremendous information about Internet Marketing and if you didn’t realize, he is also hosting the Nintendo Wii giveaway. He is offering you a Free PS3 and all you have to do is write a post about his contest and include an anchor text from his co-sponsor; IAWMD. I figured it was a no brainer here as well. Good luck!

Vicious Cycle Coming To An End

Published by Jeremy under Blogging

I realize I have said time and time again that I am back for good, but I made myself into a liar. I am moving this week so I will not be blogging until things are settled (hopefully next week sometime). As I wrote previously, I have not had much time to write posts to timestamp, so I have put myself in a bad spot. I am not blaming anyone but myself, but I will be honest and say that once the move is over, I will have a lot more time to write and content will begin flowing again like it was a few weeks ago. Once I get back on track and am able to write some frequent content, I will be able to create backup posts with the ability to timestamp them in case I should run low on time.

As the summer is closing down and many people are moving, getting married, or going back to school. Whatever you are doing for the next few weeks, I hope you make sure you have a backup plan in order to properly finish any work you have in case you are overwhelmed. I know I did not, and it has paid it’s price. Have a great week everybody.

If you enjoyed any posts that you have read here, and are 100% sure that content will be great in the future (which you should be), I recommend subscribing to my RSS feed.

The Importance of Blog Content

Published by Jeremy under Blogging

When I first began blogging I was looking into what really makes a blog grow. After some time researching and some trial and error, I realized the most important aspect is content. The question I originally asked myself was this: Now that I have a blog, what will generate traffic, and then keep the traffic once they get here? Yes a catchy title or layout will attract their attention, but they may become bored if there is nothing interesting for them to read. If you include all the previous aspects as well as content that is interesting and has something that your readers can take away from it, then you are on a path to success. Here is a quick example for what I mean. If your blog is about sports, and all you include is pictures of sports, that’s great. However, when readers come to your blog seeking information about sports instead of just images, they will leave right away. The images you have can be found on Google Images or some other place, so make sure you have useful content.

The Aspects of Content

The goal of your content is to provide your viewers with the knowledge they want, and they will read your blog day after day. The key is make sure you have well written content. Once you start writing content that is useful, it will compound and your archives will be filled with great information. Remember, blogging is more of a marathon than a sprint. Keep that in mind.

Another thing to keep in mind is to make sure you stay on topic for the most part. If your blog is about sports, do not write a few posts about sports and then a couple about cars and the next few about animals. Stay within your niche and your readers will stay loyal to you.

Another Minor Leave

Published by Jeremy under Advertising

I’m sorry to do it again everybody but I am going out of town and have just been too busy working that I haven’t had time to write any great content. I would rather write nothing at all then blabber with some useless content to make it look like I am being productive. Anyways, while I am gone I would encourage you to check out my last post (dealing with advertising), and read and understand the idea behind that system. The really cool thing about advertising online is that you do not need a blog, and you do not need to know much of anything to be successful. I am a prime example and am telling you first hand. I started advertising online (for affiliates) before making my blog, and I was making a very generous income doing so. Do me and yourself a favor and learn about the system and how you can benefit from this easy knowledge. I hope everybody has a great weekend, I should be back on Monday.
