As I tend to do, I was reading fellow blogger’s blogs. When doing so I came across the Buy Me A Beer plugin released by Ankesh Kothari. I think this is a great idea for a blogger for multiple reasons. Not only is it a laid back way to promote donations, but you can set the price of your beer. I enjoy beer, and I believe many of my viewers will as I increase traffic to my blog. However, for those who are opposed to beer, or enjoy other drinks, other options are available:

For people who prefer non-alcoholic drinks, there is a setting to replace the beer mugs with coffee cups too!

I figured I can give this plugin a try. If it does not work after awhile I might take it down and wait until my traffic increases or there is more content on my blog. In the meantime, enjoy your beverages; both alcoholic and non!
