New AdSense Features

Published by OnlineCash at 10:00 am under Advertising

As I was messing around with the settings on my AdSense advertisements, I noticed that Google has implemented a nice new feature. This new feature allows you to choose how you would like the border of your ad to show. As you see below, you can choose from square corners, slightly rounded corners, or very rounded corners. There is a nice presentation of the different examples here. If you are wondering how to access this new change, simply log into your AdSense account, and then click on AdSense Setup, then AdSense for Content. Once you get to the screen where you pick the ad formatting and color scheme you will also see the new feature.

I am glad that they have extended the functionality of their advertisements, but there are a few points I would like to make. First of all, almost 100% of the advertisements I use have no border to increase the blending and flow of my website(s). If I was to use a layout that had rounder corners as well, it would be very nice to implement advertisements with rounded corners.

The added ability proves to me that Google is trying to please their publishers by increasing the functionality and blending opportunities of their advertisements. Although I will rarely use this new feature, I am definitely happy they have implemented it.
