Thursday Entertainment

Published by Jeremy at 8:00 am under General

To break up the monotony of it all, I have decided to point your attention to some entertaining posts and words from fellow bloggers. Personally, I have had a busy week and have some great posts coming up in response to a few readers emails and comments with regards to how I am making such a substantial amount of my monthly income from affiliate sales.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy these entertaining and interesting posts. I have touched base on a couple of these items before, but if you have yet to check them out, I bet you will enjoy then. I sure did!

1. Website Value Calculator

To begin it all, I wanted to intrigue everybody and provide you with the opportunity to check what your websites are worth. Of course, this cannot be entirely accurate, but it is definitely interesting to discover.

Enter the website URL below to determine its value. These numbers are estimates only based on criteria available to the domain name; It does not provide a value of the company behind the website.

It claims that Online Cash Flow is worth just over $900. Any takers? ;)

2. Page Rank Predictor

This is another very interesting tool that I have written about extensively. You can read more about it and what it does in my post on the page rank predictor, and again in my post questioning and explaining the page rank update.

Predict your page rank!

3. Ways To Be Happier

This post is very interesting and contains some facts that I had not previously read. Take a look at how you can become happier.

It wasn’t long ago that researchers believed that every human being was born with a set “happiness point,” a fixed and unavoidable baseline level of happiness. On its face, the idea appears to have merit: Tsunami victims, amputees, and lottery winners alike eventually return to their previous emotional baselines. In other words, no matter what mega-high or ultra-low you find yourself riding, eventually your happiness will seek its own level.

4. Very Weird…

This last one is compliments of John Cow, and it is extremely entertaining. Read further…

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Now it gets really weird. Lincoln’s secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy’s Secretary was named Lincoln.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named ‘Ford.’
Kennedy was shot in a car called ‘Lincoln’ made by ‘Ford.’

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here’s the kicker…

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was in Marilyn Monroe.
