Trouble Finding Time?
After reading How To Use Blogs For Time Management, I decided I should make a post about using time wisely, or feeling as though there just are not enough hours in the day. I figured this would be a good topic to cover because I notice that I am feeling this way sometimes. Whether I read while I am waiting for something, or jot down notes when I least expect it, I am always looking for ways to make the most of my time.
There Just Is Not Enough Time In The Day
I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I struggle to find the time to even make a post. It is times like these that you need to remember when you have excess time. Whether you write the post and save it in Word to be edited and published later, or have a series of posts that you know will be published over the course of a few days, plan your posts accordingly. The best thing to do is to have a backlog of posts. Depending on the severity of your days and the amount of content you publish, remember to create a backlog in case your real life activities take more that you expected. If there is one thing to learn as you begin to blog, it would be to create a backlog of posts. Wouldn’t you rather be backed up with content than not be able to think of something to publish?
Utilizing Your Ideas And Time Wisely
Sometimes when I am laying in bed before I sleep, I think of great ideas for posts. It is then I wished that I had a pen and paper. I always think to myself, “I will remember in the morning because this idea was great!” However, more often than not I cannot remember what I was thinking, and completely forget that I even had an idea before I went to sleep. I am now keeping a paper and pen on my desk next to my bed so I can jot down a few words when I think of an idea for a post or something new to add to the blog.
How Can I Be More Effective?
If you tend to skim and only read the conclusion, here is what you need to know. Make sure you have excess content to post. I would recommend anywhere from 1-3 days, depending on the severity of your schedule. On top of that, make sure you have a way to remember ideas as they come to you. If you are in the grocery store and you think of a post about Cars, I would recommend either jotting it down, or typing “Cars” into your phone so you remember. It is simple things like this that can help you exceed in the online industry.
